Environ Vita-Antioxidant Defence Crème Plus is the advanced moisturizer that pairs with Vita-Peptide Intensive Serum 4 Plus. Together, they're the fifth and final step of Environ's Youth EssentiA® Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™. It contains Environ's highest concentration of vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate), along with vitamin C, antioxidants, peptides, and advanced researched ingredients to take youthful-looking skin to the next level.

How to use

How the Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ gets you here

Environ's Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ introduces vitamin A gradually so skin can adapt comfortably. The AVST Moisturisers run from level 1 to 5, and the Youth EssentiA® C-Quence Serums run from 1 to 4, followed by Intensive Serum 4 Plus. Most people spend about 2 to 3 bottles at each level before stepping up.

Defence Crème Plus is the finish line of that journey. Moving to it too soon can overwhelm skin that hasn't adapted to higher vitamin A levels, which is why we recommend using Vita-Peptide Intensive Serum 4 Plus with the original Antioxidant Defence Creme for 2 to 3 bottles first.

Building your routine

1. Pre-cleanse with Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil.
2. Cleanse with your Environ cleanser, such as Hydra-Intense Cleansing Lotion for drier skin.
3. Tone with Vita-Peptide Toner.
4. Treat with Vita-Peptide Intensive Serum 4 Plus.
5. Moisturize with Antioxidant Defence Crème Plus.

In the morning, always finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Total Protection™ No-Show™ Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start with Defence Crème Plus if I'm new to Environ?
We don't recommend it. It contains Environ's highest concentration of vitamin A, and skin needs time to build tolerance. Starting at the beginning of the step-up system gives you better, more comfortable results.

What if my skin reacts when I switch?
Some temporary tingling, mild redness, or flaking can happen as skin adjusts to a higher level of vitamin A. If it's uncomfortable, go back to the previous step for a while and let us know.

Do I keep using it once I've reached it?
Yes. Once your skin is comfortable at this level, Intensive Serum 4 Plus and Defence Crème Plus become your ongoing maintenance routine.

Can I use it with other Environ boosters?
Many Environ boosters, such as HA Intensive Hydrating Serum, layer well with this routine. Ask us which ones suit your goals.

Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before using vitamin A skincare during pregnancy or nursing.
