How to use
Using dime-sized portions, gently press the lotion into skin with slow, sweeping motions, then massage in. For best results, apply while skin is damp and reapply as needed.
Building your routine
Zen is a natural fit for an evening body ritual, especially in the dry Ohio winter months:
- Soften. Take a warm (not hot) shower or bath, since very hot water can leave dry skin feeling tighter.
- Seal in moisture. While skin is still damp, press Zen into arms, legs, elbows, and any dry patches with slow, sweeping strokes.
- Focus on hands and feet. Massage an extra layer into hands, cuticles, and heels. On very dry nights, slip on cotton gloves or socks afterward.
- Set the mood. Add a few drops of Bliss Essential Oil to your diffuser, or keep Relax Hand + Body Lotion on hand for nights you want a lighter floral scent.
Esthetician tip
Frequent hand washing is hard on skin. Keep Zen next to the sink and make reapplying after every wash a habit during the cold months.
What does it smell like?
Warm, earthy, and a little sweet. Myrrh and frankincense give it a resinous, grounding depth, sandalwood adds a soft woody note, and lavender keeps it fresh and calming.
Is it greasy?
No. Green Envee lotions use arrowroot powder, a plant starch, to help the formula sink in and leave a soft, non-greasy finish. Hands feel moisturized, not slippery, so you can get right back to your day.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
It is scented only with essential oils, never synthetic fragrance, which many people with sensitive skin prefer. Essential oils can still bother very reactive skin, so if you are sensitive, try a small amount on your inner arm for a day or two before using it all over.
Is it good for very dry or chapped hands?
Yes. Zen is our pick for dry, irritated skin. Its organic safflower, olive, meadowfoam, and evening primrose oils nourish and soften, and the earthy essential oil blend is comforting. Reapply after each hand washing for the best results.
Why apply it to damp skin?
Lotion seals in water that is already on the skin. Applying it within a few minutes of a shower or hand washing, while skin is still slightly damp, helps you get longer-lasting softness from less product.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
