A gentle pre-cleansing oil that melts away makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil
Environ Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil is the first step in Environ's cleansing ritual. This mild oil gently lifts away excess surface oil, sunscreen, makeup, and environmental pollutants. When you add water, it turns milky and rinses off cleanly, with no oily residue left behind. Skin feels soft, clean, and moisturized, never stripped.
Why pre-cleanse?
Oil dissolves oil. A pre-cleanser breaks down sunscreen, makeup, and the excess sebum that can clog pores, so your regular cleanser can then clean the skin itself more effectively. This two-step approach, often called double cleansing, gets skin truly clean without harsh scrubbing or stripping.

How to use
Massage over a dry face and neck to loosen makeup and surface oil. Wet your hands slightly and keep massaging until the oil turns milky, then rinse with water. Follow with your Environ cleanser. Use morning and evening.

Building your routine
Here's how the pre-cleansing oil fits into a complete Environ routine using products we carry:
- Pre-cleanse with Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil.
- Cleanse with Mild Cleansing Lotion, Hydra-Intense Cleansing Lotion for drier skin, or Low Foam Cleansing Gel if you like a gel.
- Tone with Botanical Infused Moisturising Toner.
- Moisturize with your vitamin A moisturizer, starting with Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 1.
In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Total Protection™ No-Show™ Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50.
Esthetician tip
Always start on dry skin with dry hands. Adding water too early keeps the oil from breaking down makeup and sunscreen the way it's meant to.
Will an oil cleanser make oily skin worse?
No. Oil is very good at dissolving other oils, like sebum and long-wear sunscreen. Because this formula turns milky with water and rinses clean, it doesn't leave a greasy film behind. Oily and breakout-prone skin often does well with a pre-cleanse.
Do I need to pre-cleanse in the morning too?
Environ suggests morning and evening. If you'd rather keep mornings simple, many people pre-cleanse at night only, since that's when there's makeup and sunscreen to remove.
Does it remove eye makeup?
It helps loosen makeup across the face. Keep your eyes closed while massaging and rinse thoroughly. For heavy or waterproof mascara, you may need an extra pass.
Can I use it with a cleansing brush or cloth?
Your fingertips are all you need. If you prefer, a soft, damp cloth can help remove the milky emulsion at the end.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before starting any new skincare during pregnancy or nursing.
