Who it's for

LILOU is suitable for all skin types. Dry and dehydrated skin loves the cushiony, nourishing finish. Oily and combination skin often does well with it too, because many of its seed oils (like hemp, grape seed, black currant and watermelon seed) are naturally rich in linoleic acid, a fatty acid that tends to feel light on the skin. It's also a lovely choice for skin that feels tight, stressed or sensitized from weather, travel or active treatments.

• Murumuru butter: a rich plant butter that gives the balm its melt-on-contact texture and helps soften skin.
• Linoleic-rich seed oils: grape seed, red raspberry, watermelon, cucumber, blueberry, black currant, pomegranate, tomato, hemp and rosehip seed oils help replenish the lipids your barrier needs.
• Antioxidant extracts: elderberry, Kakadu plum, green tea, white tea and matcha help defend skin against everyday environmental stress.
• Blue tansy, helichrysum and carrot seed essential oils: botanicals traditionally used in skincare for their calming, comforting qualities.

How to use

For maximum absorption, gently massage onto damp skin, indulging morning and evening. Warm a small amount between your fingertips first so it begins to melt, then press and glide it over the face, neck and chest.

*Due to the unique formula, it may liquefy in transit or in temperatures above 75 °F. This doesn't affect performance. Simply store it somewhere cool and it will firm back up.

Building your routine

Because it's a balm, LILOU works best as the final moisturizing step, sealing in the water-based layers underneath:

1. Cleanse with a gentle, oil-based cleanser like Living Libations Best Skin Ever cleansing oil.
2. Hydrate with a mist or water-based serum such as Hydrate Facial Mist or HA Intensive Hydrating Serum, leaving skin slightly damp.
3. Nourish by massaging LILOU into the damp skin.

In the morning, finish with a mineral sunscreen like Ultra Zinc Body & Face Non-tinted SPF 40.
