How to use
After cleansing and toning, apply Intensive Serum 4 Plus with Antioxidant Defence Crème. Introduce the serum first, then switch to Antioxidant Defence Crème Plus after 2 to 3 bottles. Use morning and evening.

Where 4 Plus fits in the step-up
Environ's Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ builds vitamin tolerance gradually. In the Youth EssentiA® range, you move from C-Quence Serum 1 through C-Quence Serum 2, C-Quence Serum 3, and C-Quence Serum 4, usually spending at least 2 bottles at each level. Intensive Serum 4 Plus sits above Serum 4 as the most advanced serum in the system. It's best for skin that's fully adapted to Serum 4, not as a starting point.
Building your routine
- Pre-cleanse and cleanse with Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil and Hydra-Intense Cleansing Lotion.
- Tone with Vita-Peptide Toner.
- Treat with Intensive Serum 4 Plus, paired with Antioxidant Defence Crème, then moving to Antioxidant Defence Crème Plus after 2 to 3 bottles.
- Eyes with Vita-Peptide Eye Gel.
- Protect every morning with a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield Flex SPF 50.
Esthetician tip
Because 4 Plus is Environ's most intensive serum, timing matters. Avoid stepping up right before a vacation in the sun or during a harsh winter. Introduce it when your skin is calm and your routine is steady, and keep up daily sunscreen.
How do I know I'm ready for 4 Plus?
Your skin is comfortable on C-Quence Serum 4 and Antioxidant Defence Crème, morning and evening, with no ongoing sensitivity. We're happy to assess your skin before you step up.
Why switch to Antioxidant Defence Crème Plus later?
Environ recommends introducing the serum first with Antioxidant Defence Crème, then switching to the Plus crème after 2 to 3 bottles, so your skin steps up one product at a time.
Can I go back to Serum 4?
Yes. If your skin gets sensitized, for example after sun exposure or in harsh weather, it's fine to drop back temporarily.
Can I use a retinol booster with it?
Some clients add Tri-Retinoid Complex Retinol Serum in the evening. Because 4 Plus is already intensive, please check with us first.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before starting or continuing any vitamin A or other active skincare during pregnancy or nursing.
