Face Reality L-Mandelic Face and Body Scrub combines two kinds of exfoliation in one sulfate-free gel cleanser. Chirally correct L-mandelic acid dissolves the dead skin cells that clog pores, while smooth cellulose beads polish the surface. The result is clearer, brighter, more even-feeling skin on your face and body.

Why two kinds of exfoliation?
Chemical exfoliants like mandelic acid loosen the bonds between dead skin cells so they release more easily, while physical exfoliants like cellulose beads lift that loosened buildup away. Together they leave skin feeling noticeably smoother than either one alone. Because mandelic acid is a large-molecule AHA, the combination stays gentle enough for regular use when you keep a light touch.

- Cellulose beads: smooth, natural beads that polish without scratching.
How to use
Apply a small amount to damp skin and massage into a light lather. Don't rub aggressively. Let the beads do the work. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Use a few times a week in place of your regular cleanser. Not for removing eye makeup.
Building your routine
On scrub days, this simply replaces your regular cleanser. A typical evening looks like this:
- Cleanse and exfoliate with L-Mandelic Face and Body Scrub. On other days, use a daily cleanser like L-Mandelic Face and Body Wash.
- Tone with a soothing toner such as Calming Facial Toner.
- Hydrate with a non-clogging moisturizer like Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel.
For body breakouts, use it in the shower on the chest, shoulders, and back, and follow with a light, non-clogging moisturizer.
Esthetician tip
Skip the scrub on nights you use strong exfoliating serums or vitamin A, so your skin doesn't get over-exfoliated.
How often should I use it?
A few times a week is plenty for most people. If you also use exfoliating serums, toners, or vitamin A, you may need it less often.
Can I use it on my body?
Yes. It was designed for both face and body and is a great option for rough skin or breakouts on the chest, shoulders, and back.
Will it irritate active breakouts?
Use gentle pressure and work around inflamed, tender spots. Scrubbing harder won't clear breakouts faster and can make them angrier.
What's the difference between the scrub and the wash?
Both are sulfate-free and powered by L-mandelic acid. The wash is gentle enough for once or twice daily use, while the scrub adds cellulose beads for extra smoothing a few times a week. Many clients keep both and alternate.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Mandelic acid is a commonly recommended acid for all skin tones. The key is to avoid over-exfoliating, since irritation can lead to dark marks.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before using any acid exfoliant during pregnancy or nursing.
