Face Reality L-Mandelic Face and Body Wash is a sulfate-free gel cleanser powered by chirally correct L-mandelic acid. It cleans away oil and buildup while gently exfoliating and brightening, helping you maintain a clear, even complexion on your face, chest, back, and anywhere else you break out.

Who it's for

Key ingredients
- L-mandelic acid: a gentle, large-molecule AHA that exfoliates evenly with minimal irritation.
- Gluconolactone: a mild, hydrating exfoliant with antioxidant benefits.
- Green tea extract: calms and protects.
- Grape seed extract: rich in antioxidants that defend skin from environmental stress.
How to use
Apply a small amount to damp skin and massage into a light lather. Don't rub aggressively. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Use once or twice daily. Not for removing eye makeup.
Building your routine
This wash is the first step of a clear-skin routine. A simple evening routine looks like this:
- Cleanse with L-Mandelic Face and Body Wash. If you wear makeup, remove eye makeup separately first.
- Treat with a mandelic serum such as 8% Mandelic Serum if it's part of your plan.
- Hydrate with a lightweight, non-clogging moisturizer like Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel or Clearderma.
In the morning, cleanse again and finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Daily SPF 30 Lotion. A few times a week, you can swap in L-Mandelic Face and Body Scrub for extra smoothing.
Esthetician tip
For body breakouts, let the lather sit on the skin for a minute before rinsing to give the mandelic acid time to work.
Can I use it every day?
Yes. It's designed for once or twice daily use. If your skin starts to feel dry or tight, especially alongside other exfoliating products, cut back to once a day.
Does it work on body acne?
It's a favorite for breakouts on the chest, shoulders, and back. Letting the lather sit for a minute before rinsing gives the mandelic acid more time on the skin.
Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?
Mandelic acid is one of the gentler acids, but very sensitive or dry skin may prefer a non-exfoliating cleanser like Ultra Gentle Cleanser. Ask us which is better for you.
Can I use it with a mandelic serum?
Yes, many clear-skin routines pair the two. A cleanser is rinsed off quickly, so it adds gentle exfoliation without much extra intensity. If your skin feels dry, use the wash once a day and a gentle cleanser the other time.
Do I need sunscreen if I use an acid cleanser?
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is always a good idea, and especially when you use AHAs in your routine.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before using any acid exfoliant during pregnancy or nursing.
