Face Reality Salicylic Serum is a potent exfoliating serum that combines salicylic acid, L-lactic acid, and Azeloglicina® for a powerful, balanced approach to acne-prone skin. It clears out pores, brightens, and helps calm redness and oil.

Who it's for
All skin types with clogged pores, blackheads, or breakouts. It's an especially good choice for oily skin and congestion around the nose and chin.
Why salicylic acid?
Most exfoliating acids are water-soluble and work mainly on the surface of the skin. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it can travel into the oily lining of the pore and help dissolve the mix of oil and dead skin that forms blackheads and clogs. Paired with surface exfoliation from L-lactic acid and the calming, balancing benefits of Azeloglicina®, it covers several of the main factors behind congestion in one step.

Key ingredients
- Salicylic acid: an oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid that gets inside the pore to dissolve oil and buildup.
- L-lactic acid: an AHA that exfoliates the surface while helping skin hold moisture.
- Azeloglicina®: a gentle, water-soluble form of azelaic acid that helps calm redness, balance oil, and brighten.
How to use
In the evening, apply 1 pump all over clean, dry skin or to areas of concern. Follow with moisturizer. Start every other night and increase as your skin adjusts. Wear sunscreen daily.
Important: If you are pregnant, nursing, or allergic to aspirin (salicylates), check with your doctor before use.
Building your routine
A simple evening routine with this serum looks like this:
- Cleanse with Acne Face and Body Wash or Ultra Gentle Cleanser.
- Treat with Salicylic Serum on clean, dry skin.
- Hydrate with a lightweight, non-clogging moisturizer such as Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel or Clearderma.
In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Mineral Matte SPF28.
Esthetician tip
If congestion is mostly on your nose and chin, you can apply the serum only to those areas while your skin gets used to it. Ask us at your next appointment how to fit it into your routine.
How long until I see results?
Skin often feels smoother and less oily within a couple of weeks. Blackheads and congestion take longer to clear, usually several weeks of consistent use.
Should I use this or a mandelic serum?
Both exfoliate, but they work a bit differently. Salicylic acid is especially helpful for oily skin and blackheads, while mandelic acid is a gentle all-around option for many skin types. Some routines use both on alternating nights. We can help you choose.
Can I use it every night?
Start every other night and build up as your skin adjusts. If you notice dryness or irritation, scale back.
Can I use it with benzoyl peroxide?
Many acne routines pair the two, but stacking strong actives can dry the skin. Ask us how to schedule them.
Is it okay for sensitive skin?
Some sensitive skin does well with it when introduced slowly. If your skin is very reactive, talk with us first.
