Environ Vita-Botanical Mela-Fade Serum A+B is a two-part serum system that combines concentrated vitamins and botanicals to help fade discoloration. You mix Serum A and Serum B fresh in your palm, so the active ingredients work together at their most effective for a more even, healthier-looking complexion.

Why a two-part system?
Mela-Fade keeps its two serums in separate bottles so the formulas meet fresh, right before they go on the skin. Mixing Serum A and Serum B in your palm means you get a freshly combined blend every time you apply, which is why it's important to mix equal amounts each time rather than using one serum on its own.
How to use
After pre-cleansing, cleansing, and toning, apply Mela-Prep Lotion. Mix equal amounts of Serum A and Serum B and apply to darkened areas. Follow with your Environ vitamin A moisturizer and, in the morning, sunscreen. Use morning and evening.
The Environ Mela-Smart routine
Cleanse → tone → Mela-Prep Lotion → Mela-Fade Serum A+B → Intense C-Boost Mela-Even Cream → vitamin A moisturizer → sunscreen in the morning.
Important: Daily sunscreen is essential for fading and preventing dark spots.
Building your routine
Mela-Fade is the treatment step of Environ's Mela-Smart routine:
- Pre-cleanse and cleanse with Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil and Mild Cleansing Lotion.
- Tone with Botanical Infused Moisturising Toner.
- Prep with Multi-Bioactive Mela-Prep Lotion.
- Fade with Mela-Fade Serum A+B on areas of discoloration.
- Even with Intense C-Boost Mela-Even Cream.
- Vitamin A with your AVST moisturizer, such as Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 1 or your current level.
- Protect every morning with a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield Flex SPF 50.

How long until dark spots fade?
Pigmentation fades gradually. Most people need at least a few months of consistent morning and evening use, plus daily sunscreen, to see a meaningful difference.
Should I apply it all over or just on spots?
Apply it to darkened areas. If your tone is uneven overall, we can advise whether to use it more broadly.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Yes, it's suitable for all skin tones. Darker skin can be more prone to marks after irritation, so introduce new actives gradually and protect from the sun.
Do I really need sunscreen?
Yes. Sun exposure is one of the biggest triggers of pigmentation. Without daily sunscreen, dark spots can come back quickly.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before starting any new active skincare during pregnancy or nursing. Melasma can also be linked to hormonal changes, so it's worth discussing with them.
