Level 1: Your introduction to Environ's Youth EssentiA® serums
Environ Vita-Peptide C-Quence Serum 1 is the entry-level serum in Environ's premium Youth EssentiA® range. It contains the lowest concentration of vitamins A, C, and E in the range, combined with peptides and antioxidants, to gently introduce your skin to higher-level anti-aging care.

Who it's for
Anyone new to Youth EssentiA®, including those moving up from the AVST moisturizers, and skin not yet used to higher vitamin concentrations. Environ's motto is "start low and go slow."

How to use
After cleansing and toning, apply the serum, then follow with Antioxidant Defence Crème. You can also mix the serum and crème in your palm and apply together. Use morning and evening. Use at least 2 bottles before moving up to C-Quence Serum 2.
Your step-up path
C-Quence 1 → C-Quence 2 → C-Quence 3 → C-Quence 4 → Intensive Serum 4 Plus.
How the Youth EssentiA® step-up works
The C-Quence serums are the premium side of Environ's Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™. Like the AVST moisturizers, they start low and increase gradually, so skin builds tolerance to higher levels of vitamins over time:
- Level 1 (C-Quence Serum 1): the lowest concentration, the starting point for the range.
- Level 2 (C-Quence Serum 2): a medium concentration.
- Level 3 (C-Quence Serum 3): a high concentration for more visible signs of aging.
- Level 4 (C-Quence Serum 4): an optimum concentration that many clients stay on long-term.
- Beyond level 4 (Vita-Peptide Intensive Serum 4 Plus): Environ's most intensive serum.
Each serum is paired with Antioxidant Defence Crème. Clients often move into C-Quence after working up through the AVST moisturizers, such as AVST Moisturiser 3 or higher.
Building your routine
- Pre-cleanse in the evening with Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil.
- Cleanse with Hydra-Intense Cleansing Lotion or Mild Cleansing Lotion.
- Tone with Vita-Peptide Toner, designed to complement Youth EssentiA®.
- Treat with C-Quence Serum 1, then follow with Antioxidant Defence Crème, or mix them together in your palm.
- Eyes with Vita-Peptide Eye Gel.
- Protect every morning with a broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield Flex SPF 50.
Should I start with C-Quence or AVST?
If you're brand new to vitamin A, we usually start with Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 1. If your skin is already used to vitamin A or you want premium anti-aging care, C-Quence 1 is a good place to begin. Ask us and we'll recommend the right entry point.
How long until I see results?
Skin often feels more hydrated quickly. Visible changes in firmness, tone, and texture build over the bottles you spend at each level.
When do I move up to Serum 2?
After at least 2 bottles of C-Quence 1, once your skin is comfortable, move up to C-Quence Serum 2.
Is some tingling normal?
Mild tingling or dryness can happen while skin adjusts to more vitamins. If it's uncomfortable or doesn't settle, let us know.
Do I have to use Antioxidant Defence Crème with it?
Environ designed the serums to be paired with Antioxidant Defence Crème, which adds antioxidants and moisture. Using them together gives you the full benefit.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before starting or continuing any vitamin A or other active skincare during pregnancy or nursing.
