Environ Tri-Retinoid Complex Retinol Serum is a vitamin A booster that combines retinol with two additional forms of retinoid, plus antioxidants and barrier-supporting ingredients. It's designed to take skin longevity to the next level, improving tone, texture, fine lines, and firmness while helping keep the skin barrier resilient. It's tolerance tested and certified by the Swiss Vitamin Institute.

How to use
Start by mixing 1 drop into your Environ vitamin A moisturizer, 2 to 3 evenings a week. Gradually increase how often and how much you use as your skin adjusts, up to nightly use.
Important: Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Check with your doctor before using retinoids if you are pregnant or nursing.
How it fits the Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™
Environ's philosophy is to start low and go slow with vitamin A. Most clients begin on Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 1 and step up gradually through the AVST moisturizers and the Youth EssentiA® C-Quence serums. Tri-Retinoid Complex Retinol Serum is a booster you add once your skin is comfortable with medium to high levels of vitamin A, roughly from AVST Moisturiser 3 or C-Quence Serum 2 onward. It's mixed into your moisturizer rather than replacing it, so you keep the foundation of your routine and turn up the intensity.
Building your routine
An evening routine with the Retinol Serum:
- Pre-cleanse and cleanse with Dual Action Pre-Cleansing Oil and Mild Cleansing Lotion.
- Tone with Vita-Peptide Toner.
- Boost by mixing 1 drop of Retinol Serum into your vitamin A moisturizer, such as AVST Moisturiser 4, or your C-Quence serum and Antioxidant Defence Crème.
- Comfort with Vita-Complex Super Moisturiser on top if your skin feels dry while adjusting.
Every morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield Flex SPF 50.
Esthetician tip
Mix the drop with your moisturizer in your palm before applying, rather than applying the serum on its own. It spreads more evenly and is gentler on the skin.
I'm new to Environ. Can I start with this?
We don't recommend it. Start with Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 1 and build up first. The retinol booster is designed for skin already used to vitamin A.
What if my skin gets flaky or tingly?
Some dryness or mild flaking can happen as skin adjusts to retinol. Scale back to fewer evenings a week and add extra hydration. If irritation continues, stop and let us take a look.
How long until I see results?
Retinol works over time. Expect to give it several weeks of consistent use for changes in texture and tone, and longer for fine lines and firmness.
Can I use it with acids?
Combining retinol with strong exfoliating acids can lead to irritation. Ask us how to schedule them if you use both.
When do I move to the Forte?
Once you've used one bottle comfortably, you can step up to Tri-Retinoid Complex Retinol Serum Forte.
