Key ingredients
Water-based:
- Aloe barbadensis leaf juice promotes hair growth and helps to remove the dead skin which clogs the pores of the scalp.
- Trifolium pratense flower extract reduces scalp inflammation that accelerate hair fall.
- Pisum sativum (pea) sprout extract helps shorten the telogen phase of the hair, helping to strengthen hair follicle stem cells.
In everyday terms, Trifolium pratense is red clover and Pisum sativum is the garden pea. Aloe is a familiar, soothing botanical that many people already know from skincare.
How to use
Apply directly to the scalp on clean, dry or towel-dried hair, focusing on thinner or patchy areas and along the hairline. Gently massage it in with your fingertips. There's no need to rinse. Style as usual. Consistency matters more than quantity, so make it part of your daily routine, just like your skincare. Remember that the timeline above is long: it takes months, not days, to judge how your hair is responding.
Building your hair & scalp routine
A serum works best on a clean, balanced scalp. Here's how we'd build around it:
- Cleanse with a scalp-focused shampoo such as Surface Awaken Therapeutic Shampoo or the Tea Tree Scalp Care Shampoo & Conditioner.
- Condition the lengths and ends with a lightweight conditioner like Surface Awaken Therapeutic Conditioner.

Take a photo of your part and hairline in the same spot and lighting before you start, then again every couple of months. It's the easiest way to judge real change. Is this a treatment for hair loss?
It's a cosmetic scalp serum, not a medication. Hair thinning and shedding can have many causes, including hormones, stress, nutrition, medications and medical conditions. If you're noticing sudden, patchy or significant hair loss, please see your doctor or a dermatologist so the cause can be properly evaluated.
Will it make my hair greasy?
The water-based formula is designed to be lightweight, which is why we recommend it for fine and low-density hair. Applying it to the scalp rather than the lengths keeps your hair feeling clean.
Can I use it with other scalp products?
Yes. Apply it after cleansing, on a clean scalp. If you use other leave-on scalp treatments or prescription products, ask your provider how to layer them.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before starting any new scalp or hair treatment during pregnancy or nursing.
