Why niacinamide?
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and one of the most versatile ingredients in skincare. It helps strengthen the skin barrier, calm the look of redness, and keep oil in check, which makes it a natural fit for combination and blemish-prone skin that still needs hydration.

How to use
After cleansing, apply a thin layer in circular motions over face and neck. Use twice daily, and follow with SPF in the morning.
Building your routine
For oily, combination, or blemish-prone skin, a lightweight routine looks like this:
- Cleanse. Use Clarify Cleansing Gel morning and night.
- Tone. Mist with Bright Facial Mist to brighten and refine the look of pores.
- Treat. Apply Clear Repair Serum to help keep pores clear and balance oil.
- Moisturize. Finish with a thin layer of Balance Charcoal Moisturizer.
In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Ultra Zinc Body & Face Non-tinted SPF 40.
Esthetician tip
A little goes a long way. Use a pea-sized amount for the whole face, and focus on drier areas like the cheeks first. If your T-zone gets shiny by midday, apply a thinner layer there. Blotting papers are a great way to refresh during the day without adding more product.
Do oily skin types really need a moisturizer?
Yes. Skipping moisturizer can leave skin dehydrated, and dehydrated skin may feel tight while still looking shiny. A lightweight moisturizer like Balance keeps the barrier healthy without heaviness.
Will the charcoal stain my skin?
No. It contains a small amount of activated charcoal, and the cream absorbs fully without leaving a gray tint.
Can I use it with acne treatments?
Yes. Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid help keep skin comfortable while you use clearing serums. If you are using several actives, ask us how to schedule them.
Does it work under makeup?
Yes. Its lightweight texture absorbs quickly and helps keep shine in check, which makes a nice base for makeup.
What does it smell like?
A light, fresh citrus and juniper scent from essential oils.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
