Dermaviduals DMS Base Cream Classic is skin care for normal and oily skin. Dermaviduals describes it as a white, easily spreading, fast-penetrating cream that revitalizes the skin without leaving an oily shine. It is also suitable for low-lipid (low-fat) and dehydrated skin, and can be used on the face and body.
What is DMS?
DMS® stands for Derma Membrane Structure, the technology at the heart of dermaviduals. DMS creams are built from skin-identical ingredients arranged in layers similar to the natural lipid structure of the skin barrier. Instead of synthetic emulsifiers, they use phosphatidylcholine to hold the cream together. The goal is a moisturizer that works with your barrier instead of just sitting on top of it.

Normal, combination, and oily skin that needs a moisturizer without heaviness or shine, plus dehydrated skin that lacks water more than oil. It's a great everyday base for clients who want barrier support without a greasy feel.
Key ingredients
- Hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine: a skin-friendly phospholipid that forms the DMS structure
- Shea butter: a nourishing plant butter
- Ceramide NP: a skin-identical lipid that's a key part of a healthy barrier
- Squalane: a lightweight, skin-compatible lipid
- Glycerin and natural moisturizers: help keep the skin hydrated
Ingredients (INCI): Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Pentylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Phosphatidylcholine, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Glycerin, Squalane, Ceramide NP, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Carbomer.
How to use
Apply a small amount to clean skin morning and evening after your tonic, lotion, or serum, and smooth it gently over the face. It can be used on the body as well. In the morning, follow with sunscreen.
Dermaviduals notes that when switching from mineral oil and emulsifier-based products to DMS formulas, skin may feel a little dry at first, followed by a pleasantly soft, fine-pored skin surface. Give your skin a little time to adjust.

- Hydrate with Face Lotion M or Dermaviduals Base Gel.

In the morning, protect with TIZO Ultra Zinc Body & Face Non-tinted SPF 40.

What's the difference between Classic and High Classic?
Both are DMS base creams. Classic is the lighter choice for normal and oily skin. High Classic is meant for drier, dehydrated, and sensitive skin.
Will it clog my pores?
It's designed for normal and oily skin and absorbs without leaving shine. If you're acne-prone, let us know so we can tailor your routine.
Why does my skin feel drier at first?
Dermaviduals notes this can happen when switching from mineral oil and emulsifier-based products. It's usually temporary and gives way to softer, smoother-feeling skin.
Is it fragrance-free?
No fragrance is listed in its ingredients.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?

Can I wear makeup over it?
