Face Reality Glycolic-Lactic Toner is a professional-strength exfoliating toner for oily, resilient skin. Two alpha hydroxy acids, glycolic and lactic, dissolve the dead skin cells and buildup that dull the complexion and clog pores, while witch hazel helps purify and reduce excess oil. The result is refined texture and a fresher, brighter complexion.

Who it's for
Oily, non-sensitive skin only, and anyone dealing with congestion, dullness, or excess oil whose skin tolerates acids well. If your skin is sensitive or easily irritated, Calming Facial Toner or Moisture Balance Toner is a better choice.

Key ingredients
- Glycolic acid: a powerful AHA that exfoliates intensely and renews the skin.
- L-lactic acid: an AHA that exfoliates, brightens, and hydrates.
- Witch hazel water: astringent and purifying, helping control oil.
How to use
After cleansing, apply with a cotton round or 2x2 gauze pad over the entire face. Let dry, then follow with serum and moisturizer. Start once a day and adjust based on how your skin responds. A light tingle is normal.
Important: AHAs can increase sun sensitivity. Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen every day.
Building your routine
For oily, congested skin, a simple routine with this toner looks like this:
- Cleanse with Acne Face and Body Wash or Ultra Gentle Cleanser.
- Tone with Glycolic-Lactic Toner and let it dry.
- Treat with the serum in your plan. If your routine already includes a strong exfoliating serum, ask us how to alternate them.
- Hydrate with an oil-free, non-clogging moisturizer like Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel.
In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Mineral Matte SPF28.
Esthetician tip
Don't stack this with several other strong exfoliants on the same night. If you're also using a mandelic serum or vitamin A, ask us how to balance your routine.
How is this different from the other Face Reality toners?
This is an exfoliating toner with two AHAs, made for oily skin that tolerates acids well. Calming Facial Toner and Moisture Balance Toner are gentler, hydrating options for normal, dry, or sensitive skin.
How quickly will I notice a difference?
Skin often feels smoother and looks brighter within the first couple of weeks. Clearer pores take consistent use over several weeks.
It stings. Is that normal?
A light tingle is normal. Burning, lasting redness, or peeling means your skin needs a break. Cut back to every other day or switch to a gentler toner until your skin settles.
Should I use it morning or night?
Start with once a day, whichever time fits your routine. Many people prefer evenings so they can follow with their treatment serum. If you use it in the morning, sunscreen afterward is a must.
