Face Reality 10% Acne Med is the strongest benzoyl peroxide gel in the line. This water-based gel goes deep into the pore to fight acne-causing bacteria, clear clogs, and help keep new breakouts from forming. It's designed for oily, resilient skin with persistent breakouts.
Why benzoyl peroxide?
Benzoyl peroxide releases oxygen inside the pore, where acne bacteria can't survive, and helps loosen the buildup that leads to clogs. Higher strengths are best for very oily skin that has already built tolerance to lower strengths.

Who it's for

How to use
After cleansing, toning, and any serum, apply a thin layer over the affected area or the full face if directed. Let it dry for about a minute before moisturizer. When stepping up from a lower strength, start every other day.
Good to know: Benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabrics, so use white pillowcases and towels. If you notice lasting redness, burning, or peeling, step back to a lower strength.
Building your routine
Acne Med is usually the last treatment step before moisturizer. A typical evening routine for oily, breakout-prone skin looks like this:
- Cleanse with Acne Face and Body Wash.
- Treat with your mandelic serum, such as 11% Mandelic Serum, if it's part of your plan, then apply a thin layer of 10% Acne Med once the serum has absorbed.
- Hydrate with an oil-free moisturizer like Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel.
In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Mineral Matte SPF28.

Stronger isn't always better. Ask us before moving to 10%. We'll make sure your skin is ready.
How long until I see results?
Breakouts often begin to calm within a few weeks, but it typically takes several weeks of consistent daily use to see lasting change. New breakouts can still appear along the way while older clogs clear.
Can I start with 10%?
We don't recommend it. Most people do best building tolerance with the 2.5% or 5% first. Lower strengths work very well for many people with less dryness.
Can I use it on my body?
Many people use benzoyl peroxide on breakout-prone areas like the chest and back. Keep in mind it can bleach fabric, so let it dry fully before getting dressed. Ask us how to fit it into your body routine.
My skin is red and peeling. What should I do?
Step back to every other day or to a lower strength, and focus on hydration until your skin settles. If you have burning or swelling, stop and contact us.
Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?
Please check with your healthcare provider before using benzoyl peroxide or any active skincare during pregnancy or nursing.
